What Makes This Coffee Special?

Brazilian coffees are typically known for their chocolatey and nutty flavors due to the region’s terroir. So, when we came across this Brazilian coffee with fruity notes, we were blown away! It is rare to find, and that’s all thanks to the unique processing method. By using aerobic fermentation, the producers unlocked those vibrant fruity flavors in this Brazilian bean—making it truly one-of-a-kind.

Coffee Unveiled: The Farm

[The Farm]

The story of Gil Cesar de Melo in coffee began with his grandfather, Senior Miguel Constante, a coffee grower in Campos Altos. His grandfather passed this passion to Gil Cesar’s mother, Elizena, who then inspired Gil to continue the family legacy. In 1995, Gil planted his first six hectares of coffee, and since then, he has expanded his farm, always prioritizing quality.

Espigao do Palmital farm, located in Partinha, Minas Gerais, benefits from an ideal location in the Cerrado Mineiro region. The farm enjoys a balanced climate with hot, humid summers and mild, dry winters—perfect for cultivating high-quality specialty coffee. Its mountainous terrain, high altitude, and good rainfall contribute to producing green coffee beans with exceptional aromas and flavors, admired worldwide by customers who value quality and ethical production.

Gil is committed to environmental preservation, encouraging his employees to protect the surrounding forests. His coffees undergo a rigorous quality process from crop production to post-harvest preparation, ensuring consistently high standards.

Gil’s connection to coffee runs deep. As a child, he spent weekends on his grandmother’s farm, fascinated by the coffee fields. Now in its fourth generation, the family’s passion continues with his children, Edu and Hugo, who bring fresh perspectives, contributing innovation to the business.
